410Chapter 18 – Summary of Proposals for Implementationas amended from time to time, <strong>and</strong> whether the amendment wasmade before or after the st<strong>and</strong>ard of practice was established.11) A document adopted under subsection 1.10 must be a documentcreated by a recognized body <strong>and</strong> must not be a document createdby the College.12) A copy of every code, st<strong>and</strong>ard or guideline adopted by referenceunder subsection 1.9 <strong>and</strong> every scientific, administrative ortechnical document adopted by reference under subsection 1.10shall be available for public inspection during normal businesshours in the office of the College <strong>and</strong> shall be posted on the College’swebsite or be available through a hyperlink at the College’s website.13) The Minister may, on written notice, require that the Councilestablish, amend or revoke a st<strong>and</strong>ard of practice that the Councilhas the authority to make, amend or revoke, as described insubsection (1.1).14) If the Council does not establish, amend or revoke the st<strong>and</strong>ard ofpractice as required by the Minister within 30 days after receivingnotice from the Minister, the Minister may establish a st<strong>and</strong>ard ofpractice that carries out the intent of the Minister’s requirement.11. That as the Agency conducts scope of practice reviews or otherwiseparticipates in conflict resolution between <strong>and</strong> among Colleges, thatthe Agency identifies to the Minister other instances when it would beappropriate for the regulations under one or more health professionacts to be amended to require interprofessional st<strong>and</strong>ards committeesto be established <strong>and</strong> m<strong>and</strong>ated to develop enforceable st<strong>and</strong>ards ofpractice on an interprofessional basis.Professional Liability Protection12. That all regulated health professionals be required to have <strong>and</strong> maintainprofessional liability insurance, or belong to a specified association thatprovides protection against professional liability, or be covered by theiremployers’ insurance policies. That all regulated health professionals berequired to give proof of the insurance or membership to the Registrarupon their registration or otherwise when requested by the Registrar.That this requirement be effected by an amendment to the Registrationprovisions under the <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Procedural Code as follows:That section 22.4 of Schedule 2, <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Professions</strong> Procedural Code beamended by adding the following subsection:Each application for registration must be accompanied by evidence ofprofessional liability insurance, or membership in a specifiedassociation that provides protection against professional liability, or anemployer’s insurance coverage of the applicant.
