363Chapter 14 – Profession of Pharmacy55. The College shall post the following on its website:a) the st<strong>and</strong>ards of practice referred to in section 52; <strong>and</strong>b) a list of those members, who are authorized to perform aprocedure under the authority of paragraphs 2, 3 <strong>and</strong> 4 ofsection 4 of the Act.10. That Ontario Regulation 681/93 under the Pharmacy Act, 1991(Professional Misconduct) be amended by adding the following section:1.1 Exceeding the scope of practice of the profession.11. That section 1.2 of Ontario Regulation 681/93 under the Pharmacy Act,1991 (Professional Misconduct) be repealed <strong>and</strong> the followingsubstituted:1.2 Contravening or failing to maintain a st<strong>and</strong>ard of practice of theprofession.12. That section 1.5 of Ontario Regulation 681/93 under the Pharmacy Act,1991 (Professional Misconduct) be repealed <strong>and</strong> the followingsubstituted:1.5 Prescribing, dispensing, selling, compounding or administeringa drug or substance for an improper purpose, or otherwiseusing improperly the authority to prescribe, dispense, sell,compound or administer drugs or substances.13. That section 1.22 of Ontario Regulation 681/93 under the Pharmacy Act,1991 (Professional Misconduct) be repealed <strong>and</strong> the followingsubstituted:1.22 Contravening, while engaged in the practice of pharmacy, anyfederal or provincial law or municipal by-law with respect tothe distribution, sale, prescribing or dispensing of any drug ormixture of drug.14. That section 1 of Ontario Regulation 681/93 under the Pharmacy Act,1991 (Professional Misconduct) be amended by adding the followingsections:1.2.1 Failing to advise a patient to consult with a physician or otherregulated health professional where the member recognizes,or ought to recognize, a condition that is beyond thecompetence or experience of the member or that requiressuch consultation to ensure the proper care of the patient.1.2.2 Treating or attempting to treat a condition that the memberknew or ought to have known was beyond his or her expertiseor competence.HPRAC Critical Links January 2009
