Try to surround yourself with friendly, positive people whose company you enjoy.
Taking on too many responsibilities
Being in charge of too many responsibilities can increase the stress levels and increase the risk
of developing burnout syndrome. Try to share out your responsibilities with others around you
and don’t be afraid to ask others for help if you need it.
Not getting enough sleep
Sleep deprivation is a big contributor to depressive feelings and lower stress tolerance. Make
sure you get sufficient hours of sleep and that you have a regular sleep schedule.
Perfectionism
Perfectionists are at an increased risk of burnout syndrome as they never have the feeling that
something is good enough. This creates increased levels of stress and increases the likelihood
of burnout syndrome. Perfectionists should be aware of this and should make themselves be
okay with 90% performance during tasks.
Pessimistic view of yourself and the world
Pessimistic views tend to encourage the development of burnout syndrome. Try to focus on the
positive things about yourself and the world.
The need to be in control
People who micro manage and need to control everything tend to become more stressed when
