Branan et al. (1985) report information on the diet of red brocket deer (Mazama<br />

americana) from a part-year study in Surinam. Their list of food plants includes two<br />

species of Pouteria, Euterpe oleracea, one species of <strong>In</strong>ga and two species of<br />

Swartzia. Bodmer (1989) lists fruits consumed by Mazama americana in Peru. Among
