PW-2.2: Exterior Water Use Reduction: Heat Rejection<br />

GENERAL<br />
Water-Based Heat Rejection<br />
Demonstrate that the following percentage of the projects cooling tower/district<br />
cooling water make-up requirements can be served using the Exterior Water Allowance<br />
(as outlined in the Calculations and Methodology section):<br />
� 2 Credit Points: > 25%<br />
� 3 Credit Points: > 50%<br />
� 4 Credit Points: > 75%<br />
� 5 Credit Points: 100%<br />
AND<br />
Where cooling towers are installed onsite and recycled water is not immediately<br />
available, demonstrate that a recycled water mainline loop has been installed which<br />
allows for the future switch from potable to recycled water in onsite cooling towers<br />
when it becomes available. All pipes containing recycled water must be color coded in<br />
order to easily distinguish them from potable water pipes.<br />
OR<br />
No Water Used for Heat Rejection<br />
� 8 Credit Points: Demonstrate that the project uses no water for heat rejection<br />
