GENERAL<br />

Occupant Handbook<br />

Demonstrate that an occupant handbook was prepared by a suitably qualified person<br />

from the design team and updated at the end of construction. The Occupant Handbook<br />

must include:<br />

� The maintenance requirements for the building’s performance; and<br />

� Actions to be implemented to ensure that the longer term aspects of building<br />

management and maintenance are upheld as new techniques come into effect over<br />

the lifespan of the building.<br />

Occupant Feedback<br />

Where the above requirements are met, it is possible for projects to earn one<br />

additional Credit Point by providing occupants with feedback on how their behavior<br />

affects building performance. These systems should include:<br />

� Digital Feedback <strong>System</strong>s/Smart Meters with a user interface (e.g. dashboards)<br />

inside each tenancy and connected to the centralized building data aggregation<br />

centre or BMS.<br />

Where the project will provide occupants with feedback on building performance,<br />

include the following:<br />

� Brief narrative describing how the project meets the Credit Requirements;<br />

� Images of the draft digital interface screens representative of a user experience;<br />

and<br />

� Extracts from specifications indicating the functionality and location of all smart<br />

meters /dashboards or other building integrated internal communications.<br />

� Occupant Handbook (updated as appropriate); and<br />

� Updated distribution plan for the Occupant Handbook.<br />

Where the project will provide occupants with feedback on building performance,<br />

include the following:<br />
