� Percentage of total annual energy consumption supplied through onsite renewable<br />

technologies;<br />

� Payback;<br />

� Water use;<br />

� Land use;<br />

� Visual issues;<br />

� Maintenance; and<br />

� Where the renewable technology will be used (e.g. car park lighting systems).<br />

The study must include a summary matrix detailing the relative merits of each<br />

renewable technology in reference to the above issues with the selected technology<br />

highlighted.<br />

The percentage of energy supplied through onsite renewable technologies is<br />

determined by calculating the annual energy production of each onsite renewable<br />

technology, and dividing their sum by the annual energy consumption of the proposed<br />

building determined within RE-1 Improved Energy Performance.<br />

Offsite <strong>System</strong>s:<br />

Offsite systems are defined as renewable energy generated outside of the project site<br />

boundary.<br />

The percentage of the non-renewable energy consumption to be supplied through<br />

offsite renewable technologies is determined as follows:<br />
