The correction direction of the backlash compensation is defined as<br />

follows using the sign of P15:<br />

P15 = positive ––> positive correction direction<br />

The following applies when first traversing after power–on:<br />

Traversing in the positive direction – backlash is corrected<br />

Traversing in the negative direction– backlash is not corrected<br />

P15 = negative––> negative correction direction<br />

The following applies when first traversing after power–on:<br />

Traversing in the positive direction – backlash is not corrected<br />

Traversing in the negative direction– backlash is corrected<br />

Note<br />

The following applies when entering a value in P15 (backlash<br />

compensation):<br />

Depending on the sign of P15, the actual value can be immediately<br />

shifted by the value entered for the backlash. The backlash value<br />

becomes effective immediately and is taken into account in the display.<br />
