The brake sequence control operates with the ”open holding brake”<br />

output signal. The signal can be output as follows:<br />

Motor with integrated holding brake (only 300 W motors)<br />

No additional wiring is required for the brake sequence control.<br />

Motor with external holding brake<br />

The external holding brake is controlled using a digital output with<br />

function number 95 (open holding brake).<br />

The following must be observed:<br />

– Output terminal X5, I/Q1, I/Q2<br />

– Activated via P56.4 and P56.6<br />

– Parameterizing the output terminal ––> refer to Chapter 5.5.10<br />

– Connecting up the output terminal ––> refer to Chapter 2.3<br />

– The relay for the holding brake is connected at the parameterized<br />

output terminal.<br />

The following parameters are available for the ”Holding brake” function:<br />

P31 function, terminal 1<br />

P32 function, terminal 2<br />

P56.4 open holding brake<br />

P56.5 monitoring, holding brake undervoltage<br />

P56.6 open the holding brake, also for an external holding<br />

brake<br />

P58 holding brake, brake opening time<br />

P59 speed, close holding brake<br />

P60 holding brake, brake delay time<br />

P61 holding brake, controller inhibit time<br />

The following signals are relevant for the ”holding brake” function:<br />

Input signal<br />

– Input terminal (X5, I/Q1, I/Q2)<br />

Function number 26 Open holding brake<br />

– PROFIBUS<br />

Control signal STW.15 Open holding brake<br />

Output signal<br />

– Output terminal (X5, I/Q1, I/Q2)<br />
