Employees with the following medical problems are allocated based on their option,<br />
as far as possible:-<br />
(a)<br />
(b)<br />
(c)<br />
(d)<br />
(e)<br />
Cancer patient- Self or family<br />
Blindness- Self only<br />
Heart Bye-pass surgery –Self only if done within two years from the date of<br />
representation is considered by the Committee.<br />
Kidney Transplantation/Kidney failure and continuing on dialysis- Self or family<br />
Mental illness - Self or family, restricted to indoor treatment for at least three<br />
months.<br />
In the above medical hardship cases the definition of family has been expanded to<br />
include the dependent parents as well.<br />
SPECIAL FACILITIES TO WOMEN GOVT. EMPLOYEES<br />
13.16 The following special facilities have been given to women government employees:-<br />

a female government employee with less than two surviving children is granted<br />
Maternity Leave for 180 days. In continuation of the maternity leave she can also<br />
take leave for a period of two years. In case of miscarriage including abortion the<br />
government servant is entitled to leave not exceeding 45 days during entire service;<br />
women employees having minor children can avail child - care leave for a maximum<br />
period of two years (i.e. 730 days) during their entire service for taking care of upto<br />
two children whether for rearing or to look after any of their needs like examination,<br />
sickness etc. In continuation of the Child - Care Leave she can also take leave for<br />
a period of one year;<br />
women employees with disabilities are paid Rs.1000/- p.m. as Special Allowance<br />
for child - care. The allowance is payable from the time of the child - birth till the<br />
child is two years old for a maximum of two children;<br />
day - care centres/crèches in offices or major residential areas of employees are<br />
set up as a welfare measure;<br />
