Chapter 3 Land Use and Development/Reuse Regulations<br />

Each parking space shall be a rectangular area 9 feet by 20 feet.<br />

A 2½ foot overhang area over low level landscaping shall be<br />

permitted. Parking accommodations for compact cars may be<br />

provided with such designated spaces being not less than 8 feet<br />

by 17 feet. Up to 20 percent <strong>of</strong> the required parking spaces <strong>of</strong><br />

the site may be designated for compact cars, upon the approval<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Community Development Director.<br />

K. Parking Requirements: The requirement for any uses not listed in<br />

Sections 3.13.2, 3.13.3, and 3.13.4 shall be determined by the<br />

Community Development Director on the basis <strong>of</strong> the requirements<br />

for similar uses.<br />

3.13.2 Residential Off-Street Parking Requirements<br />

Table 3-4 defines the <strong>of</strong>f-street parking requirements for residential uses in<br />

the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tustin</strong> portion <strong>of</strong> the Specific <strong>Plan</strong> area. Refer to the Irvine<br />

Parking Ordinance for applicable standards within the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> Irvine.<br />
