Section 6 Data Load Procedures Additional Data Load Topics The Sequence Number on all ISIR records is the same as the Transaction Number in the record. All ISIR records have a transaction number. The Current Record Indicator on ISIR records is always N. Selections for the Load Option, Print Option, Recruiting Option, and Recalc Need Analysis Option parameters are applied only to those students who already have a financial aid application record for the current year. For students with no existing applications in the current year, whose records are being loaded to the database, the RCRTPxx program supplies the following parameters. Parameter Value Description 03 Load Option for Need Analysis 1 Load as current record 06 Need Analysis Print Option N Do not print Discrepancy Report 08 Recalc Need Analysis Option The same value as selected for this parameter in EDE Data Load, Part 1 (RCBTPxx) or CSS Data Load, Part 1 (RCBCTxx) For example, if the option for Parameter 3 were to load all records as non-current, the process could only load those records as non-current for those students who already had a current record in SCT Banner for that aid year. If there is not a current record for the aid year, then SCT Banner will load the new record as current. There would be no need for the discrepancy report to print anything on this student, as there is no old data with which to compare. New Person Versus Existing Person If a person record exists in SCT Banner at the time of Data Load, Data Load Part 3 (RCRTPxx) does not update fields on that person record except for fields specified in RCRTPxx parameters 16, 17, 18, 19. If no person record exists, and you decide to load New records, a new person record is created with data from the incoming record as shown below: Any element with an asterisk (*) on the following tables must have an SCT Banner Conversion Value on the Interface Data Translation Rules Form (RCRTPTR).
