SB00 STUDENT-IDENTIFIER<br />

Position: 012 - 020<br />

This element uniquely identifies a student for all terms and at all colleges. For<br />

students with an officially assigned Social Security Number, report the nine-digit<br />

Social Security Number in this data element, or the unique local identifier.<br />

<strong>SCT</strong> <strong>Banner</strong> will populate the flat file with RCRAPP1_SSN first if one exists, then<br />

check for SPBPERS_SSN and finally, if no SPBERS, pull from SPRIDEN_ID.<br />

SF01 STUDENT-APPLICANT-STATUS<br />

Format: X(01)<br />

Position: 021<br />

This element, which indicates whether a financial aid applicant received financial<br />

aid, should be reported for all financial aid elements.<br />

Valid Values:<br />

1 = Received <strong>Financial</strong> <strong>Aid</strong><br />

X = Unknown/Uncollected<br />

Note: By received financial aid, the Chancellor’s office is looking for those<br />

students paid financial aid. If your institution disburses funds in <strong>SCT</strong><br />

<strong>Banner</strong>, you may choose the Paid parameter option.<br />

If your institution does not disburse funds in <strong>SCT</strong> <strong>Banner</strong>, you may want<br />

to utilize the Accepted option. Populate the Student-<strong>Aid</strong>-Applicant-Status<br />

field with a 1 if the field identified in Parameter 14 Offered, Accepted or<br />

Paid, (RPRAWRD_OFFER_AMT, RPAAWRD_ACCEPT_AMT or<br />

RPRAWRD_PAID_AMT is > 0, otherwise populate field with an X. (Null<br />

treated as X).<br />

SF03 STUDENT-AID-BUDGET-CATEGORY<br />

Format: X(01)<br />

Position: 022<br />

This element indicates the standard budget category upon which the student's<br />

financial aid eligibility was based for the reported award year.<br />

Valid Values:<br />

H = At home with parent(s) budget<br />

C = On campus budget<br />

O = Off campus budget<br />

X = Unknown budget<br />
