valid Perkins MPN for the student or if a new Perkins MPN must be requested.

Packaging Process (RPEPCKG)
Modifications to this process include:
• Adding logic to determine whether a Fund-Specific Requirement is updated
when in Offer or Accept status.
Previously, logic to assign fund-specific requirements was done at the time the
fund was awarded (Offer Status).. Using the new Create on Acceptance Flag,
you have a choice for any fund-specific requirement to determine whether the
requirement is created with Offer status or Accept status.
Specifically, if Create on Acceptance Flag
(RFRTREQ_CREATE_ON_ACCEPT_FLAG) is Yes for a fund-specific tracking
requirement, the fund-specific requirement is assigned when the award is
accepted (RPRAWRD_AWST_CODE where RTVAWST_ACCEPT_IND = Yes.).
Otherwise, the fund-specific tracking requirement is assigned using the
existing code when the fund is awarded with a status of Offer
(RPRAWRD_AWST_CODE where RTVAWST_OFFER_IND = Yes.).
This logic is used both when awards are initially made, as well as when Award
Status is changed to a code representing Accepted for existing awards
• Adding logic when assigning a fund-specific tracking requirement to check for
existing Perkins Multi-Award Years MPN.
Processing was added so that once the Perkins fund is awarded or accepted, the
fund-specific tracking requirement is assigned and updates existing valid
Perkins MPN information.
This additional processing during awarding is only required if a school has
chosen to use the option for a Perkins Multi-Award Years MPN. If
ROBINST_MULTI_YR_PERK_MPN_FLAG is null, process continues assigning
tracking requirements as usual.
If a school uses a Perkins Multi-Award Years MPN, then at the time of awarding
or the acceptance of any fund identified as Federal Perkins
(RFRBASE_FED_FUND_ID = PERK), a determination must be made on whether
to request a new Perkins MPN.
If a Perkins MPN exists from a prior aid year for the student, a determination
must be made if it is still valid. It is valid if the first scheduled disbursement
