Section 22 Need Consolidation - Functional SCT Banner Changes RNVAND0 view always displays the current calculation. RORCALC is now only needed if you wish to populate the RORSTAT columns with the need calculation data as indicated above. It is also of critical importance for users to note the obsolete objects. Among this list are objects that might have been used in the past in local modifications or rules. SCT Banner Changes Consolidate Need Calculation All existing gross need and/or unmet calculations were removed and replaced by the calculations in the new functions and package. This ensures that all unmet need calculated data displayed on Banner forms or used in the Banner processes is current. Any gross or unmet need calculation existing in any forms in the following section was removed and replaced with the new single actual need calculation, via the use of the new package RNKNEED, which will calculate the following need amounts: • Budget Amount • Resource Amount • Replace EFC Amount • Reduce Need Amount • EFC Indicator • EFC Amount • Gross Need • Excess EFC Amount • Unmet Need • IM EFC Amt • IM Gross Need • IM Excess EFC Amt • IM Unmet Need • Offer Amt • Pell Award This package consists of the following functions: • f_calc_pell_budget_amt • f_calc_non_pell_budget_amt • f_calc_budget_amt Financial Aid Release 7.0 January 2005 282 Release Guide Confidential
