Section 35 COD Full Participant Updates - Functional New Processes and Reports • If a student has a Pell record for the 2004 - 2005 aid year on REAOR05 and the student's most recent record has a status of Accepted or Corrected, then the Student identifier change is sent with that Pell award record. • If a student does not have a Pell record on REAOR05 for 2004 - 2005, then the Student identifier change is sent with a Direct Loan Award ID. Borrower Identifier Only Changes • Borrower Identifier changes are only sent when sending PLUS records and are sent with the particular PLUS Award ID the PLUS Borrower Identifier belongs to. Address Extract Changes When extracting the address for the student, the permanent address is first pulled from the Direct Loan record with the highest application number if the student has a Direct Loan award record on RPALORG for the 2004 - 2005 aid year. If the student does not have a Direct Loan award record for 2004 - 2005, the address is pulled from the current record on RNANA05. Note: If you are making changes to a student's address on RPALORG, it is important to make the changes to the highest application number for the student (or to all applications for the aid year) in order to prevent reversing changes with future extracts. Section 35 COD Full Participant Updates - Functional New Processes and Reports to extract both award and disbursement records. A parameter is not provided for choosing whether to extract Direct Loan Changes, as they are a part of the Direct Loan Award record and not a separate extract record for COD Full Participants. Therefore, if Direct Loan Award records are being extracted, the Direct Loan Changes will also be extracted. Note: The RERIMEX report output separates Direct Loan Changes from Direct Loan Originations in order to identify which students to review on ROAALOG in the case of rejected Direct Loan Change records. This is similar to what occurred for 2003 - 2004 processing for DL change logging. Disbursement Block Updates For Pell: • When the JIT flag = Y on ROAINST and the Scheduled Disbursement Date is less than the Current Date (SYSDATE), the 2004 - 2005 process will extract the SYSDATE as the Disbursement Date for initial Sequence 01 disbursement records. This was changed for those disbursements that are not created and actually extracted until after the scheduled date.
