If the following message is displayed: 124 "Disconnect Layer 1" check that the bus and the plugs are correctly connected (see Appendix C) and that the state of the LED’s on the front panel of the instrument is exact. In the case of Basic Access and an OUTGOING call, the fixed INFO 1 can indicate that: − the terminal is not connected to the NT1 termination − the NT1 is faulty − the access is not operating − a terminal on the S-BUS is not connected correctly or defective − the connection of the S-BUS is not correct. In the case of Primary Access, check: − the CRC4 management of the terminal and the network − the connections − the 120Ω balanced line impedance (for connections at 75Ω unbalanced impedance, the instrument is supplied with adapter). USER’S MANUAL REV. 5 ISDN ANALYZER D1080 If the disconnection message is: “Disconnect Layer 2” the cause of the disconnection should be at the logical level. The typical situation for this disconnection message is the incorrect configuration of the TEI management of the instrument. This value is set in the CONFIGURATION page (see Chapter 7) before connecting with the access and must comply with the setting of the tested access. In case of point-point access, the TEI must be set in fixed mode with typical value zero (0). For point-multipoint access, the TEI must be set in automatic mode. ! Two or more terminals with the same TEI value cannot exist on the same access. In case of AUTOMATIC TEI, this is checked by the network. In case of fixed TEI, the operator must check that settings are correct. If the instrument displays the following message: “Disconnect Layer 3” the cause refers to the compatibility between the configuration of the local user and of the remote user, or in the service management capacity of either the user terminal or the network (services not implemented, non transparent capabilities with interworking).
