ISDN ANALYZER D1080 USER’S MANUAL REV. 5 90 ! The messages saved during the last test remain available even after switching the instrument off. This makes it possible to analyze, print and download data on a PC by means of the PC108 software. During the data acquisition, the operator can display the messages coming from the line or analyze the acquired data contained in the internal memory. This is possible because the instrument can record the events even during the analysis. Events can be recorded in two ways: FILL AND STOP mode: all events are recorded, starting from the first one, until the memory is full. Only the first events contained in the memory will be displayed in chronological order. CIRCULAR mode: when the memory is full, the first event is over written by the last event and so on. Only the last events contained in the memory will be displayed in chronological order. The starting time of the test and the filling percentage of the capture buffer are also given. To make the analysis of the acquired data easier, the equipment provides a series of pages with statistical functions on the traffic. To start the test press . CHAPTER 11. USER’S MANUAL REV. 5 ISDN ANALYZER D1080 11.1. FILTERS It is possible to insert specific filters used to capture and display events. The following filters are available: capture display call 11.1.1. Capture filters The capture filters are used to save some space in the memory. Once inserted, they cannot be modified while the test is in progress. Capture, to exclude all level 1 and/or 2 events from memorization if not significant for the test in progress. − ALL, all events are saved − LAYER 1, level 1 events are not saved − LAYER 2, level 2 events are not saved The selection of the CAPTURE filter in the Filter field enables the following parameters: Lay, to exclude level 1 and/or level 2 events from memorization if not significant for the test in progress.
