The instrument can manage the POWERSUPPLY (PS) bits to<br />
simulate the NT in standard/emergency remote power supply<br />
conditions towards the public network.<br />
The PS bits towards the network can only be used with the 2B1Q<br />
co<strong>de</strong>, and not with the 4B3T co<strong>de</strong>.<br />
The activation/<strong>de</strong>activation time of the interface is also indicated<br />
(see paragraph 9.1.3).<br />
The <strong>de</strong>activation time of the line cannot be measured in 4B3T<br />
since this event can only come from the network, without notice.<br />
9.1.1. D1028<br />
For a functional check of the line coming from the network of the<br />
Basic access (U interface), the operator can carry out some<br />
measurements with the <strong>D1080</strong>, such as the resistance (see<br />
paragraph 9.1.5) and the voltage measurement (see 9.1.3). It is<br />
also possible to check the presence of marginal conditions of<br />
signal attenuation by means of the external adapter D1028<br />
supplied with the “U Interface” option.<br />
The D1028 is connected in series between the U interface plug of<br />
the <strong>D1080</strong> and the two wires coming from the line.<br />
