A dedicated line is a 4-wire line at whose ends a terminal (such a PBX, a telephone, etc.) is connected, as shown in the following figures: PBX TELEPHONE ETC. The terminal connected at one end is configured as MASTER and generates the synchronization clock. The terminal connected at the other end is configured as SLAVE. To test the SLAVE terminal, set DEDICATED LINE and MASTER, in the Protoc. and mode fields of the CONFIGURATION menu, respectively.
