E1 for E1- 120W<br />

S- TO NT for S0- MONITOR/TE SIMUL<br />

S- TO TE for S0- TE TEST<br />

3.3.1.1. Connection over primary access<br />

The instrument interface complies with ITU-T I.431, ETSI300 011<br />

Recom. with balanced 120Ω impedance. In case of connections to<br />

unbalanced 75Ω lines, use the adapter supplied.<br />

Use the plug marked as “E1” standard ISO8877 polarized for tests<br />

as <strong>ISDN</strong> terminal simulator (TE SIMULATOR or TE X.25<br />

SIMULATOR) or as monitor for protocol analysis on D channel.<br />

When testing a user terminal (TE TEST or X.25 TE TEST), connect<br />

to the tested terminal by means of crossed cable on the “E1”<br />

plug.<br />

3.3.1.2. Connection over basic access<br />

The instrument interfaces for the Basic Access comply with Recom.<br />

ITU-T I.430, ETSI300 012.<br />

In or<strong>de</strong>r to carry out tests on the “S0” interface as <strong>ISDN</strong> terminal<br />

simulator (TE SIMULATOR or X.25 TE SIMULATOR) or as monitor<br />

for protocol analysis on the D channel, use the ISO8877 plug<br />
