ISDN ANALYZER D1080 USER’S MANUAL REV. 5
In Primary Access the quality tests can be executed while several
calls to the network are active (see Paragraph 11.1.7). This makes
it possible to check if the problems are due to specific channels
or heavy traffic.
While executing the quality tests, the instrument can receive and
loop incoming calls (see Chapter 6).
! In the SETTING UP menu the CallsRx field can be
146
configured with:
NOT ACCEPTED
ONLY COMPATIBLE
ALL ACCEPTED
The field must be set with ONLY COMPATIBLE or ALL
ACCEPTED in order to loop the incoming calls.
12.2.1.1. 64 kb – one B channel
This makes it possible to test a single network section and
identify the “noisiest” path. It is an “User-User” test.
Two modes are available:
by using a remote loop box.
The received data is the sum of the transmitted and the
received data.
The operator can determine if the network section is noisy,
but he does not know if the upstream connection is noisier
than the downstream connection, or vice versa.
