ISDN ANALYZER D1080 USER’S MANUAL REV. 5 180 CONNECT, symbol of hooking off According to the signaling protocol, the instrument checks the regular sending of the messages and automatically eliminates the functional buttons of the messages which can no longer be sent. For instance, if ALERTING is immediately sent, the instrument will no longer display the CALL PROCEEDING message. The functional buttons are ordered from left to right for correct sending. The Num= and Sub= fields show the CALLING NUMBER and/or CALLING SUBADDRESS information elements sent by the terminal, if any. The information elements according to the setup set for the test are contained in the outgoing SETUP message. The operator can set a number and subaddress used as “number to call” in the Num: field and “subaddress to call” in the Sub: field to test multinumber configuration and/or with subaddress. In case of data call (UNRESTRICTED DIGITAL or USER), the 64 kbit/sec numerical flow of the connected B channel is sent again towards the V.11 interface for other tests with appropriate devices. To end connection, press button of the instrument that corresponds to the on hook handset. The connection can also be ended from the terminal using its own functions. In case of disconnection, the instrument displays the disconnection cause in the message display both in numeric mode and in words according to the standard Euro-ISDN format. 16.2.4.
