CONNECT, symbol of hooking off<br />
According to the signaling protocol, the instrument checks the<br />
regular sending of the messages and automatically eliminates the<br />
functional buttons of the messages which can no longer be sent.<br />
For instance, if ALERTING is immediately sent, the instrument will<br />
no longer display the CALL PROCEEDING message. The functional<br />
buttons are or<strong>de</strong>red from left to right for correct sending.<br />
The Num= and Sub= fields show the CALLING NUMBER and/or<br />
CALLING SUBADDRESS information elements sent by the terminal,<br />
if any.<br />
For a further verification of the tested terminal, in the active state,<br />
every fifteen messages the instrument sends a message with<br />
taxation and the DISPLAY information element with the test string<br />
“TEST RX DISPLAY I.E.”.<br />
16.2.3.2. Outgoing calls<br />
In case of configuration with AUTOMATIC TEI (only BRA), the<br />
instrument sends a SETUP message in broadcast and manages the<br />
procedure to request and assign the TEI. Otherwise it sends a<br />
point-point message with the TEI value chosen in the<br />
CONFIGURATION page. The information elements according to the<br />
setup set for the test are contained in the outgoing SETUP<br />
message.<br />
The operator can set a number and subaddress used as “number<br />
to call” in the Num: field and “subaddress to call” in the Sub:<br />
field to test multinumber configuration and/or with subaddress.<br />
The call is accepted only if the terminal is compatible with the<br />
