8.1. MONITOR OVER <strong>ISDN</strong> PRIMARY ACCESS<br />

If connected over a Primary Access, the following information are<br />

displayed:<br />

frame and CRC4 synchronisms<br />

LOS, AIS, LFA and RAI alarms<br />

co<strong>de</strong>, local CRC and remote CRC errors<br />

logical state of D channel<br />

presence of level 2 and 3 activity over D channel<br />

8.1.1. Information about synchronisms<br />

The instrument gives specific information about the frame<br />

synchronisms and about the CRC4 (Co<strong>de</strong> of Cyclic Redundancy)<br />

“word”, if the check is enabled. This information is given by the<br />

“PRA SYN” LED’s as indicated below.<br />

PRA SYN<br />

� FRAME�<br />

When on, the “FRAME” LED’s indicate that the<br />

frame synchronism has been reached.<br />

� CRC � When on, the “CRC” LED’s indicate that the<br />

CRC4 synchronism has been reached.<br />

8.1.2. Alarm signaling<br />

The instrument checks the presence of alarm conditions due to<br />

different types of faults in the connection.<br />
