B1.4.1The “site”, for the purpose of this CoCP, is defined as the land within the Limits ofLand to be Acquired or Used and the Limits of Deviation shown on the DepositedPlans and Sections relating to the Scheme. These plans are one of the TWAOapplication documents submitted to the Secretary of State for approval.B1.5 SITE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLANB1.5.1Immediately after the contract is placed, the Contractor will produce one or moreSite Environmental Management Plans (SEMP) for approval by CRCL and NetworkRail. The SEMP will set out the specific control measures to be adopted to deliverthe general requirements of the CoCP.B1.6 RESPONSIBILITIESCRCLB1.6.1A senior staff member or consultant will be nominated by CRCL and designated tosupervise the activities on site at all times during construction. Staff will beresponsible for ensuring the CoCP is adhered to and will hold regular meetingswith the Contractor and the local authority.ContractorB1.6.2B1.6.3The Contractor will have the responsibility of establishing and maintaining contactwith the local authority and local residents and keeping them informed ofconstruction matters likely to affect them in a timely manner. More detail ofcommunication routes are provided in Section 2. Any requirements in this CoCPthat apply to the Contractor also apply to any sub-contractor, including supplierswhere bound by contract.The Contractor will need to demonstrate to CRCL and the relevant statutoryauthorities that management, monitoring, auditing and training procedures thatwill be in place to ensure compliance with the CoCP via the SEMPs.
