(i)(ii)(iii)(iv)(v)The provision of easily cleaned hardstandings for vehicles entering, parkingand leaving the site. This also serves to minimise dust nuisance (see paragraph5.2.23).The provision of wheel washing and lorry jet washing facilities including,where practicable, mechanical wheel spinners.The use of an approved mechanical road sweeper to clean the site ofhardstanding and any mud or debris deposited by the site vehicles on roadsor footpaths in the vicinity of the site. The road sweeper is to be readilyavailable whenever the need for cleaning arises and will be properly used andmaintained.The adequate sheeting of each lorry load of spoil removed, to prevent spoilfalling off during its journey.Measures will be taken to ensure that mud and detritus is not swept intogullies.DustB5.2.23Measures shall be taken to avoid creating a dust nuisance including the followingpractices in addition to those set out in Clause 7.1:Provision of easily cleaned hardstanding areas for vehicles;keeping the hard surfacing of heavily used areas clean by regular brushing andwater spraying;completely sheeting the sides of all vehicles carrying spoil and other dustymaterials;regularly damping down and cleaning unsurfaced haul routes and vergeswhere these are located close to sensitive locations; andestablishing and enforcing appropriate speed limits over all unmade surfaces.B5.2.24Specific dust suppression mitigation will be developed within detailed methodstatements for identified works such as ballast removal and replacement. Suchmeasures will be applied through future detailed design updates of this CoCP.Fly-tippingB5.2.25B5.2.26Fly-tipping will not be permitted. Loads must only be deposited at licensed tips orto designated sites. Deposition will be in accordance with the requirements of theEnvironment Agency under the Landfill (England and Wales) Regulations 2002.To ensure the correct depositing of excavated material and to prevent theoccurrence of fly-tipping, a ticket system will be operated at all sites.
