At present, a public right of way uses a simple stile toaccess the existing level crossing leading to the golf course; the increase in line speedand the safety implications associated with this will require the current crossing to beclosed. The proposed replacement structure will consist of a simple steel footbridge builtto Network Rail standards; due to limited existing access, the structure will not be DDAcompliant but accessed via steel steps.Figure 16 shows the development site, and it can be seen that the location (orangemarker and arrow) is within Flood Zone 1.20
