B4.1.2All working areas shall be inspected at least fortnightly and a written report oncompliance with this section of the Code shall be provided to CRCL by thecontractor. A nominated representative of CRCL may carry out inspections of thesite at any time without prior notice of time and place of the inspections. Access toall areas of the works shall be given to visiting inspectors and the Contractors shallgive inspectors all reasonable assistance during their site inspection. Priorauthorisation (Temporary/Track Visitors Permit) will be obtained for any visits tothe operational railway in accordance with Network Rail procedures.B4.2 FENCING AND HOARDINGB4.2.1All working areas shall be sufficiently and adequately fenced off from members ofthe public and to prevent animals from straying on to a working area. Hoardingsshall be selected to suit the location but may be:a wire mesh fence, where appropriate for minimum security needs; ora 2.4 m minimum height, plywood faced, timber framed boundary hoarding, ofa surface density of not less than 7 kg/m² or other hoarding providingequivalent security and noise attenuation, in the vicinity of noise sensitivereceptors (as defined in the ES and in Section 6 of this document); orother designs where a particular appearance or acoustic rating is considered tobe required and is agreed with the local authorities.ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENTB-9CHILTERN RAILWAYS
