About Default Applications and Application Groups
Default applications and application groups are provided with the
OS-SPI for the following platforms: AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Sun Solaris,
Tru64 UNIX, and Windows. For more information on default application
groups provided with the OS-SPI, see the OS-SPI documentation.
NOTE OVO applications are available for reference but no longer as default for
the specified agent platforms.
Default application groups are still provided with OVO for some of the
DCE/NCS/SunRPC-based platforms that are not supported by the
OS-SPI: NetWare, MPE/iX, IBM (Sequent) ptx, Sinix RM/Reliant, and
SGI Irix.
NOTE The matching OS-SPI configuration and software that supports OVO 7
agents and is supplied together with OVO 08.00, can also be installed
and used on RPC-based platforms.
Table 2-9 show the default applications and application groups provided
by OVO.
