To Change the Hostname or IP Address of the<br />

Management Server<br />

To change the hostname or IP address of the management server, follow<br />

these steps:<br />

1. De-install the OVO agent software from the management<br />

server.<br />

Before changing the hostname of the management server, you must<br />

de-install the OVO agent software from the management server. To<br />

find out how to de-install the agent software, see the section<br />

“De-installing OVO Software from the Managed Nodes” on page 64.<br />

2. Request new licenses from the <strong>HP</strong> Password Delivery<br />

Service.<br />

For more information about OVO licensing, see the OVO Installation<br />

Guide for the Management Server.<br />

3. Stop all OVO processes on your management server.<br />

Stop the manager, agent, and GUI processes running on the system:<br />

a. Stop all running OVO GUIs by selecting Map:Exit.<br />

b. Stop the OVO agents on your management server by entering:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovc -kill<br />

c. Stop the OVO manager processes by entering:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovstop ovctrl<br />

d. Verify that no OVO processes are running by entering:<br />

ps -eaf | grep opc<br />

ps -eaf | grep ovc<br />

e. If an OVO process is still running, kill it manually by entering:<br />

kill <br />

All OVO intelligent agents on OVO managed nodes start<br />

buffering their messages.<br />
