Displaying Default Message Groups<br />

The Message Group Bank window displays the default Message Groups<br />

provided with OVO. Details about individual message groups are shown<br />

in Table 2-1.<br />

SNMP Messages generated by SNMP traps.<br />

Network Messages about network or connectivity problems.<br />

Backup Messages about backing up, restoring, and<br />

restoring OVO (for example, fbackup(1), <strong>HP</strong><br />

<strong>OpenView</strong> Omniback II, <strong>HP</strong> OmniStorage,<br />

Turbo-Store).<br />

Certificate Messages related to certificate handling.<br />

Performance Messages about hardware malfunctions (that is,<br />

CPU, disk, or process malfunctions) and software<br />

malfunctions (for example, <strong>HP</strong> <strong>OpenView</strong><br />

Performance malfunctions).<br />

Output Messages about print spooling and hardcopy<br />

functionality (for example, lp(1), lpr(1).<br />

Job Messages about job streaming.<br />

OS Messages about malfunctions in the operating<br />

system, I/O, and so on.<br />

Security Messages about security violations or attempts to<br />

break into a system.<br />

Database Messages about database problems<br />

OpC Messages generated by OVO itself. This message<br />

group should not be used by opcmsg(1|3). The<br />

OVO message group cannot be deleted.<br />
