About Preconfigured Elements<br />

About the “OV Services” and “OV Applications” Groups<br />

information about the OV application group X-OVw.<br />

Depending on the integration mechanism you use for <strong>HP</strong> <strong>OpenView</strong><br />

applications, OVO logically distinguishes between OV Services and OV<br />

Applications. OV Services are accessed from the menu bar. Some OV<br />

Services only start daemons.<br />

The administrator can see OV Service symbols in the administrator<br />

Application Bank window. These symbols can be copied to the operator<br />

Application Desktop window, as needed. For details about OV<br />

Services, see the OVO Administrator’s Guide to Online Information.<br />

NOTE You always start OV Services and OV Applications under the UNIX<br />

account that started the OVO GUI.<br />

About the “Physical Terminal” Application<br />

When starting the physical terminal application, you call the script<br />

defined as the Physical Terminal command in the Node Advanced<br />

Options window:<br />
