Displaying the Euro Symbol in the Motif GUI<br />

If the Motif GUI message browser displays a period (.) instead of the<br />

Euro symbol or instead of any other non-ASCII character, for example<br />

instead of a German umlaut, do the following:<br />

❏ <strong>HP</strong>-UX<br />

Set LANG to a language with an @euro extension before starting the<br />

Motif GUI.<br />

Example:<br />

LANG=de_DE.iso885915@euro<br />

❏ Solaris<br />

Set LANG to a language with an -15 extension before starting the<br />

Motif GUI.<br />

Example:<br />

LANG=de.ISO8859-15<br />
