Changing Hostnames and IP Addresses in a Cluster Environment<br />

Edit also the following files and replace any occurrence of the old<br />

hostname with the new one:<br />

/var/opt/OV/share/databases/openview/ovwdb/ovserver<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/ovspmd.auth<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/ovwdb.auth<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/ovw.auth<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/ov.conf<br />

On each cluster node replace the hostname with the new one:<br />

/opt/oracle/product//network/admin/listener.ora<br />

/opt/oracle/product//network/admin/sqlnet.ora<br />

/opt/oracle/product//network/admin/tnsnames.ora<br />

/opt/oracle/product//network/admin/tnsnav.ora<br />

9. Start OVO integrated services.<br />

Start OVO integrated services by entering:<br />

ovc -start<br />

10. Set the cluster configuration<br />

a. Stop the OVO server HA Resource group by entering:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovharg_config ov-server -stop <br />

b. Change the cluster configuration to use new IP address.<br />

For VERITAS Cluster Server, enter:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovharg_config ov-server -set_value \<br />

ov-ip Address <br />

For Sun Cluster, enter:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovharg_config ov-server -delete \<br />

ov-application<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovharg_config ov-server -delete ov-ip<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovharg_config ov-server -add ov-ip \<br />

NULL VirtualHostname \<br />

For , enter the name of NAFO group<br />

for Sun Cluster 3.0, and the name of IPMP group for Sun<br />

Cluster 3.1.<br />
