To Integrate “Ethernet Traffic <strong>HP</strong>” as an OV<br />

Application<br />

To integrate “Ethernet Traffic <strong>HP</strong>” as an OV Application, follow these<br />

steps:<br />

1. As OVO administrator, from the menu bar of the root IP Map, select<br />

Window:Application Bank....<br />

The OVO Application Bank window opens.<br />

2. As OVO administrator, from the menu bar select<br />

Actions:Applications->Add OV Application....<br />

The Add OV Application window opens.<br />

3. In the Add OV Application window, enter the following application<br />

attributes:<br />

Application Name: Ethernet Traffic <strong>HP</strong><br />

OV Registration Application Name: IP Graphs<br />

OV Registration Action Identifier: etherTraffic<strong>HP</strong><br />

4. Select [Use Objects selected by Operator].<br />

5. Click [OK].<br />

6. Invoke the OV Application as administrator and as operator:<br />

a. Administrator<br />

To use the OV Application, log out and log back in. Select a node<br />

and double-click the Ethernet Traffic <strong>HP</strong> application in the<br />

OVO Application Bank.<br />

To enable the operator to monitor the ethernet traffic, drag and<br />

drop the OV application into an operator Assigned<br />

Applications window. Then restart the operator’s session.<br />

b. Operator<br />

Select a node and double-click the Ethernet Traffic<br />

application in the Application Desktop.<br />
