About the Cluster Architecture
Cluster architecture provides a single, globally coherent process and
resource management view for the multiple nodes of a cluster.
Figure 14-1 shows an example of a cluster architecture.

Each node in a cluster is connected to one or more public networks, and
to a private interconnect, representing a communication channel used for
transmitting data between cluster nodes.
Applications running in a cluster environment are configured as HA
Resource Groups. HA Resource Group is a generic term for cluster
objects representing HA Applications.
