Preconfigured Elements<br />

This section describes preconfigured templates, template groups, and<br />

applications used by OVPA on <strong>HP</strong>-UX and Sun Solaris managed nodes.<br />

NOTE OV Performance Application bank functions are not available for<br />

Windows managed nodes. For Windows, only deploy and remove are<br />

available.<br />

Types of Applications<br />

There is one application group named OV Performance. You can select<br />

the following applications from the<br />

Application Group: OV Performance window.<br />

Application Description<br />

Check alarmdef Check the syntax of the OVPA alarmdef file (utility -xc).<br />

Check parm Check the syntax of the OVPA parm file (utility -xp).<br />

Config alarmdef Edit the OVPA alarmdef file and check the syntax (utility -xc).<br />

Config parm Edit the OVPA parm file and check the syntax (utility -up).<br />

Config Datasources For OVPA 3.x, edit the /var/opt/perf/perflbd.rc file, and for OVPA<br />

4.x, edit the /var/opt/OV/conf/perf/datasources file.<br />

Config ttd.conf Edit the /var/opt/perf/ttd.conf file.<br />

List Processes List the active performance tool processes (perfstat -p).<br />

List Versions List the version numbers for key performance tool files (perfstat -v).<br />

Reactivate alarmdef Reinitialize OVPA alarmgen process (mwa restart alarm).<br />

Restart PA Servers Reinitialize OVPA server processes (mwa restart server).<br />

Restart Perf Agt Reinitialize all OVPA processes (mwa restart).<br />

Start extract Start the OVPA extract program.<br />
