Changing Hostnames and IP Addresses<br />

NOTE You do not need to change the CERTIFICATE_SERVER if an other<br />

system is set as a certificate server.<br />

c. Restart the OVO agent processes. Enter the following:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/opcagt -start<br />

28. Re-install the agent software on the management server.<br />

Re-install the OVO agent software when you have finished this task.<br />

To Change the Hostname or IP Address of a Managed<br />

Node<br />

NOTE If you are running OVO in a distributed management server (MoM)<br />

environment server environment, make sure that you perform all steps<br />

described below also on all management server systems that control or<br />

monitor the modified node.<br />

NOTE The System acquires IP dynamically (DHCP) checkbox, available<br />

only for HTTPS-based managed nodes, allows you to perform your OVO<br />

managed node’s IP address change in a safer and a more comfortable<br />

way. This is most useful if your managed node is an DHCP client, or if<br />

you have set IP address change of managed node(s) ahead.<br />

NOTE If you are using Service Navigator, check the service configuration file for<br />

opcservice command. If the service configuration file contains<br />

hostnames and IP addresses, they may need to be changed before you<br />

run the opcservice again. For more information, refer to the Service<br />

Navigator Concepts and Configuration Guide.<br />

For managed nodes, the hostname or IP address change can be<br />

performed using the opc_node_change.pl script located in<br />

/opt/OV/bin/OpC/utils directory on the management server. The<br />

opc_node_change.pl script does the following:<br />
