About the itooprc Resource File<br />

The Java GUI resource file itooprc is used to store operator preferences.<br />

The itooprc file is created or updated automatically in the home<br />

directory of the user who started the Java GUI after each click the [OK]<br />

button in the Preferences dialog.<br />

Operator preference options are listed in the itooprc file. Each defined<br />

option must be listed in a separate line and followed by its parameter.<br />

NOTE The itooprc file should be edited by experienced administrators or<br />

operators only.<br />

Table 9-2 on page 336 describes the options that can be added in the<br />

itooprc file with their parameters.<br />

apisid Sets a session ID for the<br />

particular Java GUI instance<br />

at its startup.<br />

bbc.http:proxy Configures a proxy server for<br />

HTTPS-based communication.<br />

colored_message_lines on|off|true|false|yes|no Enables you to color the entire<br />

message row in the message<br />

browser with the severity<br />

color of that message<br />

def_help_url Path to the help pages on the<br />

management server.<br />

def_look_and_feel Defines the appearance of<br />

Java GUI: Metal, Motif, or<br />

Windows.<br />

default_browser Path to the web browser on a<br />

local host.<br />
