About Variables<br />

Returns the name of the node on which the event took<br />

place.<br />

Sample output:<br />

richie.c.com<br />

This variable is only available in the Service Name<br />

field.<br />

Returns the name of the node on which the event took<br />

place. This is the name returned by the node’s name<br />

service.<br />

Sample output:<br />

richie.c.com<br />

Returns the name of the object associated with the<br />

event. This is set in the Message Defaults section of<br />

the Add/Modify SNMP Trap window. This variable<br />

cannot be used in logfile templates. The variable<br />

returns the default object, not the object set in the<br />

conditions window.<br />

Returns the service name associated with the message.<br />

This variable can also be used in the Command field of<br />

automatic and operator-initiated actions.<br />
