Installing and De-installing OVPA<br />

De-installing OVPA<br />

You can de-install OVPA from OVO managed nodes using the standard<br />

or manual de-installation methods.<br />

To De-install OVPA with Standard De-installation<br />

To de-install OVPA from a managed node using the standard installation<br />

method, follow these steps:<br />

1. In the OVO Node Bank, select the node from which you want to<br />

de-install OVPA.<br />

2. From the menu bar, select the following:<br />

Actions Subagents -> Deinstall…<br />

3. In the Deinstall Subagents window, select OV Performance<br />

Agent.<br />

4. Click [OK] to de-install the software.<br />

The OVPA executable files are removed from the managed node.<br />

Configuration files and data files are not removed.<br />

To De-install OVPA Manually<br />

To de-install OVPA from a managed node using the manual installation<br />

method, follow these steps:<br />

1. Copy the appropriate ovpa_inst file from the directories listed in<br />

“OVPA Package and Installation Files” on page 229 to a temporary<br />

directory of the managed node.<br />

2. To remove the files, enter the following command on the managed<br />

node:<br />

a. Go to the directory containing the package and installation files<br />

copied from the OVO management server.<br />

b. Start the OVPA deinstallation with the command:<br />

ovpa_inst REMOVE<br />

information about removing GlancePlus from the system.<br />
