Callirobics for Beginners: Basic Shapes to Music acquaints students with the basic lines and shapes that are the
building blocks for writing. The program is ideal for participants with low-developmental ability or for younger
students that are just starting to experiment with “writing.” The program uses stickers to enhance the direction of
the writing movements and gives students an extra activity for fine motor skills.
Well-known children’s music artist, Cathy Bollinger, provides the music with her beautiful voice and guitar. She
gently leads the students through the basic writing movements: down, up, across, and around (circle).
Age is not a factor in selecting this program. It is important that parents/teachers/practitioners match the program
to the child’s ability and not his/her age.
