* Develop social language skills across functional settings
* Improve information retrieval, organization, and expression
Description
There are five books, each of which contains relevant topics that students may face on a daily basis. Use the
activities in structured conversation to help students access and execute language with greater independence.
This series utilizes visual cueing and verbal prompting in concrete and literal tasks to improve skills. Statements
or questions are presented at three levels of difficulty for each topic, so you can determine the level that is right
for each student and the pace that best suits his learning and communication needs:
Level One: Choice of Two includes sentences with a missing word or words. The student fills in the blank by
selecting one of two choices. This level is designed for students with limited verbal expression.
Level Two: Fill-Ins presents the same sentences for the student to complete but does not give him the two
choices. The student must access an appropriate word or phrase from memory or formulate another appropriate
answer.
Level Three: Sentence Starters uses the same content as levels one and two but only provides a short sentence
starter as the cue.
A Parent/Guardian Letter, Progress Tracking Form, and lists of possible answers are also included.
Sections
