**Handwriting Exercises to Music (Callirobics) Laufer, Liora. / Schleifer, Barry.
213 .613 LAU
Callirobics Ages 7-14 are a series of simple and enjoyable graphical patterns to be traced by the child while
listening to popular melodies. These patterns introduce the basic elements of writing movements in a "stress free"
method.
The children practice patterns to music. The patterns are more advanced, connected and geared for cursive
writing. There are ten sessions with two exercises in each session. Each session is practiced for five minutes. We
recommended to repeat it for a whole week. The music is upbeat for the straight patterns. It is calm and slow for
the curved and round patterns.
Jacob Two-Two and the dinosaur (audio
recording)
Grades 4-6 reading level;
Richler, Mordecai, 1931-
240.400 n
This CBC production is filled with music, sound effects, and dozens of voices, and all are top-top-notch.
Narrated by Stephanie Morganstern, and featuring Jacob Daniel Tierney as Jacob,
JACOB TWO-TWO AND THE DINOSAUR follows Jacob as he befriends a pet diplodocus (played by Vlasta
Vrana) whom he must protect from the violent abuses of adult society. The story is simultaneously funny and
touching, and always offbeat.
When Jacob Two-Two's father brings him back a small lizard from Kenya, it grows to enormous proportions, and
to protect his now identifiable Diplodocus from frightened grown-ups, Jacob runs away with him to British
Columbia.
