Programmable keys for abbreviated dialling and destination addresses should
be periodically checked to determine whether the programmed fax numbers
still coincide with the actual ones and whether they are still required. This
prevents incorrect fax numbers input by strangers from being used instead of
the correct numbers for extended periods and allows modifications to the
desired destination number to be recognised at an early stage.
