Siting of Novell Netware servers in an insecure environment (e.g. corridors,
unlocked server rooms) creates a considerable threat to IT security.
Direct input into the server-console or loading of NLMs (Netware Loadable
Modules) can cause deactivation of the installed security measures, without
the administrative personnel i.e. IT security-management being aware of this.
Example:
By loading special NLMs, it is possible to create a user equivalent to a
supervisor. That is to say, an existing user can get the same privileges as a
supervisor.
