11. Operate each main vent valve in<br />

hand and power. Following<br />

operation, with vent valves shut,<br />

conduct a controlled removal of<br />

MBT vent covers, one at a time, to<br />

check MBT vents for leaks.<br />

12. Operate the outboard induction<br />

valve in hand and power.<br />

13. Operate the diesel engine exhaust<br />

valve in hand and power.<br />

14. Operate inboard induction valves. X<br />

15. Raise, train and lower periscopes,<br />

snorkel, radar and antenna masts<br />

and fairings.<br />

16. Test operation of all radio<br />

transmitters and receivers using all<br />

antennas.<br />

17. Operate all radar equipment at rated<br />

conditions.<br />

18. Operate all sonar equipment at rated<br />

conditions.<br />

19. Take and plot fixes using all<br />

navigation equipment and each<br />

antenna.<br />

20. Test operation of drain pump(s)<br />

from all operating locations using<br />

each bilge suction.<br />
