4. The following tests and evolutions will be carried out on the surface following the deep dive:<br />

a. Note condition of periscope optics.<br />

b. Measure resistance to ground of all external electrical cables.<br />

c. Take radio antenna megger readings immediately after surfacing, again in one-half hour, and compare<br />

with readings obtained in Appendix D, step 1.v. of this chapter.<br />

d. With ship proceeding at full speed, conduct low pressure blow (if installed) to check whether or not<br />

circulation water systems and machinery become air bound.<br />

e. Measure resistance, across and to ground from each side, of all sonar hydrophones, projectors and<br />

transducers. (see Note 15).<br />
