Quantitative Analysis ofArgentina’s Tra<strong>de</strong> Policy ∗Martín CicowiezAbstractOver the past years, the use of computational tools for tra<strong>de</strong> policy assessment has spread significantly. This paper<strong>de</strong>scribes the types of simulation mo<strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong>s used by the Centre for International Economics belonging to the ArgentineMinistry of Foreign Affairs, International Tra<strong>de</strong> and Worship to assess different tra<strong>de</strong> policy alternatives. Theadvantages and disadvantages of partial and general equilibrium approaches are analysed.
